On September 26, NJCDC held its 2026 Neighborhood Summit, which brought together residents, officials, and community partners to review projects now underway in Paterson's Great Falls neighborhood. Presentations covered the new Passaic County services complex, the raceway rehabilitation, the Great Falls Riverwalk, the Alexander Hamilton Visitor Center, and several projects that are turning vacant buildings into new uses.
Servant's Heart Ministry's Executive Director, John Oostdyk, spoke about The Great Falls Center and the progress taking place at the historic Glenro Building. The 50,000 square foot center will bring together workforce training, food and the arts. It builds on Servant's Heart's Workmanship Program that offers free trades training. John Oostdyk spoke about how the center fits with the other neighborhood projects, saying, "All these projects are working together."
