  • We’re generally on 2-3 project sites every Saturday, taking on projects that can last anywhere from a few days to a year.

  • Our projects staff is on site Tuesday through Saturday each week from 7am to 4pm. Volunteers are welcome to join us any of those days, but most come on Saturdays.

We need to know ahead of time that you’re coming. Once you’re registered as a volunteer, you’ll receive a weekly email to sign up for Saturday Serve.

If you’d like to volunteer as a group of 5 or more, we need at least 2 weeks notice to accommodate. See below for more details on Group Serve Days.

  • The work on our sites varies by site and week, depending on the needs of our projects and your skill level. Our projects cover all stages of the construction process from demo to framing to mechanicals to finishing work. All inherently dangerous and specialized trades, such as siding, roofing and most mechanical work, are done by professionals only.

  • On Saturdays, coffee break and lunch is provided for all volunteers.

  • All level of skills and experience is welcome. To ensure we maintain a proper skilled-to-unskilled ratio on our sites we require volunteers to sign up to serve ahead of time and allow us to assign them accordingly.

  • Wear clothing that is comfortable and durable; no leggings. Closed-toed shoes, preferably boots, are required. Don’t wear anything valuable, like jewelry, but wear clothing that can get dirty, stained, ripped, etc.

  • We supply all the tools and materials needed for our project sites, but if you have your own set of tools you are welcome to bring them. All we require is a willing heart and hands ready to work.

  • Due to the intensity of our job sites, we only take individuals 14 years and older. Volunteers ages 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult who will work alongside them the entire day.
