Mission & Vision
Madison Avenue Crossroads Community Ministries offers many unique services to the city of Paterson. Believing that true transformation comes only from the power of Jesus, they focus on the spiritual and physical needs of the community by responding to those needs with solutions that help communities help themselves. This includes a food pantry, after-school programs, ESL classes, kayaking, senior activities and services, and more.
Their Discipleship Houses provide quality, safe, transitional residence for men in recovery. Through supervision, counseling and support from Christian men, they develop and reinforce Christian character, work habits, and family values.
This is where Servant’s Heart came in. Our team worked to build Discipleship House #3.

The Project
We completed a total renovation of this dilapidated 3-story home to create Discipleship House #3. We added a new steel beam to the basement, leveled out the first floor, renovated the exterior deck and stairway. Inside we built bedrooms, bathrooms, and a brand new kitchen. This project will allow 9 more men to enter Crossroad’s Discipleship program, providing them a safe place to live and grow.
