Mission & Vision
Servant’s Heart has a long relationship with Pastor Mel of Bethel in New Orleans. We met him after Hurricane Katrina, and we’ve been partnering together to support his work with Bethel Colony South Transformation Ministries. This ministry offers a 6-month, Christ-centered, in-patient treatment for men suffering from addition and life-controlling issues.

A team of 25 volunteers traveled from NJ to NOLA to help Pastor Mel build one house from the ground up and add a second floor to a separate structure — all in one week!
The Project
Our team built one home from the ground up and then added an 2nd-floor addition to a second site. Both structures will serve the thriving recovery ministry run by Pastor Mel.
