Mission & Vision

Iglesia Bautista Central is dedicated to making disciples. This is not a program or one initiative of their mission; it is the whole heart of who they are and how they structure their community. They make disciples who make disciples.

Servant’s Heart came across this faith community during a time of crisis. After losing their church building to a fire, they risked losing it a second time. Our team came in to help.

The Project

In 2014, Iglesia Bautista Central suffered a fire that destroyed their building. The church began rebuilding as soon as possible, only to come to a screeching halt when the funds ran out. For over a year, the newly-built frame was left exposed to the elements as the church tried to find solutions to continue renovation.

We prioritized getting the roof closed off to protect the rest of the building. We finished the roof and sealed off the building. With their property now protected, they had the time and space to raise the remaining necessary funds. When they did, we came back to finish the work. We framed out the interior and completely renovated the space giving them a beautiful place for worship and ministry. In the process, we saved them over $600,000 in construction costs.
